u2R Reloaded

My old u2R from microHam suffered from low quality solder joints. I have been receiving a new u2R unit about after two weeks I sent the old one back.

The reflow soldering looks much better now. However, there are a few components soldered by hand which didn’t look well soldered. A good example can be seen for instance here:

Wed Sep 23 22-34-12

One pin of U17 doesn’t show no solder on the top layer.

Fri Sep 25 21-27-38

The solder isn’t well flown on the bottom side either,

In order to fix the problem, the unit has been taken apart and these solder joints have been re-soldered. It took about two hours and I hope the unit will last now.
